shimmers unreachable world

wind unseen brings leaves
browning
gives loft to cardinal
out there
crimson messenger beckons me
out there
brightness embracing others
hurts my hungering sight

sun caresses silent stalwart trees
out there
my injured body longs to be
trekking paths yet discovered
out there
is almost world of make believe
out there
empty porch waits
longingly
reflecting sore heart's need

perhaps some one will hear my soul
